Was just thinking that clerics should have a few more attack type spells, but that their damage shouldn't be super high, but be unique in other ways.
So, I was thinking they could have some sort of 'drain life' spell (kind of like energy drain, but without occurring every round) where it does less damage than harm or else lags more than harm, but then heals you a small amount.

I'm not against the idea at all. I definitely don't want to just give them higher damage spells, otherwise we would just be making them mages with healing. You specified that though.
