This post is in response to a post that was later deleted when consolidating the forum users with the Mordor player base. It's an art form... No worries though, major Mordor projects are never done drunk. Now, the smaller changes.... for those of you who were around during the (beginning of ?) summer, you may recall a time when we had about 30-35 changes come in at once. There was also another 20 or so that were behind the scenes (either optimizations of algorithms, immortal commands, etc.). About 70% of them were done in 3 consecutive nights when I realized I needed to do something to stay awake until I sobered up, before I could go to bed. 3 nights of falling asleep around 6am, on the keyboard, wondering how in the world so many things got done. (Even more amazing that there was only 1 bug in over 40 committed revisions written in the state of the Ballmer Peak...) |

xkcd is right. I too have noticed superhuman coding ability once, while under the effects of alcohol. I wrote a thousand-lines web application overnight. By 10 AM I was polishing and delivering it. |
